The stay
Our 288sqft cabin is located 1 mile south of McArthur and sits on 6 acres of woods and 2 ponds. We have our ponds stocked for catch-and-release fishing (bring your own rods). We are just 16 miles from many popular hiking trails (Old Man’s Cave, Cedar Falls, Ash Cave) & the Hocking Hills State Park. We are located just 5 miles from the Richland State Forest public ATV trails. So bring your 4 wheelers for even more fun! The cabin is 10 miles from the beautiful Zaleski State forest and for adventurous hikers, the eerie Moonville Tunnel, located 14 miles from the cabin. Lake Rupert and Lake Alma are both around 10 minutes away from the cabin. Lake Rupert is mainly known for recreational activities such as bank and boat fishing, but be aware that they have no boat rentals there. Lake Alma includes a public swimming beach, sports areas, and picnic areas. Lake Alma does offer boat and kayak rentals for those wanting water activities.

The cabin was exactly what we were looking for and more. It was very clean, cozy, and the hottub was a huge bonus for being able to use after being out in the cold all day. The hosts were very easy to get ahold of and I would definitely come back again.

Overall, a really solid spot to spend a relaxing weekend and Marie and Jherico were super responsive and kind! It had a wonderful outdoor space, including hot tub, which was awesome to use. Super clear and a lot of amenities to use for every need. This cozy cabin is perfect for a solo weekend, and it is right off a main county highway for easy access. Fun spot to sit back and hang out!

We had such a wonderful stay! The cabin was so cozy, SO CLEAN and we had everything we needed and then some. Having been on AirBNB for many years, the places that go the extra mile thinking of every need really stand out. Those little details make a space memorable and we appreciate that! The location is great if wanting to explore Hocking or surrounding area. We opted to hike in Athens for less crowds which has beautiful parks and trails. It’s a 20 to 30 minute drive to some amazing places to connect with nature and was the perfect place to come home to and rest. It is off of a main road and Friday there was a lot of car traffic but we just hopped in the hot tub - didn’t hear a thing over the jets. The rest of the weekend was quiet. We loved it! Highly recommend.

I had an amazing time at this place! Loved the cabin, extremely clean, felt right at home. Marie and Jherico were amazing, very attentive hosts. I liked the backyard, we spent a few hours in the hot tub and it felt great. 100% recommended, I can’t wait to go back.

Had a great time, everything listed was exactly as it was described, perfect for a couple that just wants to enjoy their time together and appreciate the little things in life we all forget about in the busy day to day lives we live. Marie and Jherico responded to our texted before and after the trip within minutes if not sooner and once on the property you can tell this was just not an investment this place had meaning, and a lot of thoughts and efforts went into the layout of the property, well done you two!!! I would suggest checking this place out and will be telling all my friends about this one. Thank you.

The cabin was cozy, peaceful and relaxing. Very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The hot tub was perfect after a long day of hiking at Hocking Hills! Would definitely stay here again!

Marie and Jherico were exceptional hosts. Their cabin was very clean and with all of the decor, made our stay very cozy. We will defiantly look for another opportunity to stay at their cabin again and enjoy all the benefits their location has to offer and sites to see. Highly recommend anyone who is looking for a week in Hocking Hills or even a night get away to consider this cabin!
